For Pride Month 2023, I created a photographic archive of cloakroom ticket images captured during queer nights out - both from my own collection and from public submissions. The images were collected and shared via @qloakroomproject on Instagram every day of June 2023.
Often the only photographic record of a messy night out, these images litter camera rolls - tiny reminders of our ability to take care of our future selves and mitigate our questionable decisions. They're not meant to be seen or shared, and are characterised by their lack of glamor, curation and technical skill. They are purely practical documents that punctuate streams of selfies and pet pics.
